flowers

(wild)

By Sara Published 3 years ago • 1 min read

you kiss my cracks

to plant seeds

in my barren heart -

(a flower blooms).

your tongue bleeds life

into my parched mouth

and i swallow

(your lies).

i feel

your fingers

run up my face

(because my eyes are closed).

you whisper in my ear

you are mine

and my eyes water

(i want to be).

i will be left

to cut stubborn weeds

and an open mouth

(my lips drip with blood).

you will be gone

tomorrow

but you are here

(for now).

so i will sit

on the gravel

planting wildflowers

(for your return).
