Floating

in a world of haste,

serenely, swooning

in a daze,

a world I can no longer

see or hear as the

silence is upon us

whilst grief still stays

in a world not safe.

The scars crack

after a pounding,

shimmering in a blaze

of light.

The music blaring

hounding my ears.

Celebration now seized.

Sleeping sweetly like a baby,

my head aching

and sor

Partying ended,

sprinkles of fluff

on the streets,

colorful and glowing,

it shimmers sadly upon

filthy footpaths

as day begins

sourly, suspended, and surrendered.

Plastic cups and paper plates

thrown about.

Smells of barbecue meat

filtering the air

but sickening my stomach,

the frivolous fun fortified

waiting patiently for

another year.

...

I roll off the bed.

Nothing is as it seems.

The air rumbles

and seizes my ears.

I float systematically

as darkness looms.

Blue ripples of clouds

threatened thunder

shower down,

the gloom

of yesterday's happiness,

gone.

A blackness

forms with the shattering

of rocks,

waterfall fountains falling

a depression still around.

Women's day celebrated

a wondrous feeling

remembered.

But now the dimness

of the present day

saddens hearts

even though it's only

ten o'clock.

Morning light withers,

laughter diminished

in the air.

Humanity swindled

for death and sullen

bereft.

...

The quiet fills my brain.

Still, the battering continues,

women scarred for life.

When will it end?

...

The promises of

celebration forgotten,

a new day is here.

But still, the promise is there,

the clarifying commitment

and challenge.

Sponsors come together

in a world of haste,

moving forward

in a future

of hope

pasted in my brain.

From a powerful movement

celebrated

a sweetness to cheer on

as the smiles of females

glorifying gallantly,

gaining gratefully,

a timeless wonder caught

in the celebration of women

never to be

forgotten foolishly,

floundering sensuously,

and soundlessly,

the plans

float in a world of haste.
