Give in —

just take what you need,

and leave me whatever’s left.

Use me —

let me slip away

to protect the few fragile pieces I still hold.

Choose me —

while I’m eager to feel

what I never knew was true.

Allow me —

find reasons to see my potential,

even when it’s hard to see.

See me —

I’ve gone unnoticed,

without a hand gentle enough

to make me feel alive again.

Control me —

because I don’t trust myself

to know right from wrong,

love from hate.

Build me —

either I’m worth it

or I’m not —

but look for reasons

that make my being matter.

Fix me —

I am every human:

flawed,

formed in mistakes,

waiting to believe again.

Through you,

I am fixed.
