Looking out because I can't look in

Swimming in a fishtank

Sinking because I can't swim

If I were to grow a fin

Then I could be swimming in a fishtank 

Looking out through the glass because I can't look in

If I could only learn how to swim

Then I would be swimming in a fishtank 

If I could see the way 

I could swim away 

Thought I would come just to play 

Then I could be swimming in a fishtank

If this is the place to stay 

I would love to come and play 

If I only I knew the way
