First Frost And Snow of Winter
frost and ice, for some a dream. For othersscream of fear

First Frost And Snow Of Winter
A hush falls where the leaves once lay,
their golden glow now swept away.
The frost creeps in, the ground turns glass,
a sparkling mirror where shadows pass.
The world turns white, so soft and still,
a quiet magic, winter’s will.
The sky lets gentle flakes drift down,
each one unique, without a sound.
They settle lightly on the trees,
and dance upon the icy breeze.
Branches bow beneath the snow,
a beauty pure, a peaceful glow.
Footsteps press through fields of white,
each print a memory of the night.
Though snow will melt, its gift remains,
a fleeting joy the heart sustains.
The first snow whispers, calm and deep:
This moment’s ours, for us to keep.
Frost and ice a nightmare or romantic dream
A natures picture to paint, or a silent scream.
