Fires We Tame
Transforming Anguish into the Ashes of Grace
In anger's fire, a tempest roars,
A blaze that scorches, scars implore.
Yet, what begins in fury's flame,
Often ends in the shadow of shame.
The words we wield like sharpened blades,
Cutting through ties, in rage cascades.
But as the storm subsides, we find,
Regret emerges, a heavy bind.
The ember of anger may briefly gleam,
Yet leaves a trail, a haunting seam.
For in its wake, a silence spreads,
A landscape painted in remorseful threads.
Battles fought in the heat of disdain,
Lead to a barren, desolate terrain.
The pride that fueled the raging fire,
Now drowns in a remorseful mire.
So, let not anger be the guide,
To journeys where shame resides.
In the ashes of regret, we learn,
To temper anger, watch it burn.
Seek understanding, let empathy reign,
For kindness sows a gentler grain.
What starts in anger, let it cease,
In the balm of forgiveness, find release.
