Firebug

A pyromaniac's love story

I hate it when the magick gets away

When the glow leaves and day breaks

The light in the dark that was you and I

The spark that ignited the flame

I feel it still like hot coal in my chest

But cooling rapidly and feeling empty

We stood too close to the flames

We played with too many fires

We scorched the earth we had blessed

Something new grows, someday

Someday soon or maybe far, far away

Something fresh with a new glow

Will we be around to see it

Will we be around to feel it

Will we be around

Will we be...
