Fire and Ashes

In the embers of the fire's past,

Ashes and dust, a tale to last,

Of a flame that once did burn so bright,

Now but a memory, a faint light.

The ashes, they do tell a story,

Of a fire that once did rage so glory,

But now, they lie, a lifeless pile,

A reminder of what once did smile.

The dust, it whispers of a time,

When the flames did dance and climb,

But now, it's just a memory,

A ghost of what once did be.

The embers, they do glow so dim,

A reminder of the fire's prime,

But now, they're just a fading light,

A shadow of what once did ignite.
