Fire of Desire

To find one’s self

I see that you’re mad

And you don’t understand,

How a person can be happy

Even without a man.

I thought you were fine

With the thought of me,

Being happy once again,

But it doesn’t seem to be.

You think I’m trying to make you mad?

The one I once said was my forever man?

You say I play these female games,

I say it’s not true

Yet you still misbehave.

Or are you still mad,

In a state of desire,

For the one you once said

Lit your inner fire.

I refuse to be sad,

Or mad, or tired.

I want to live a life

where I too can find my fire.

Where I won’t be guilty of being myself

Or being happy,

Despite with someone else.

Even so my focus isn’t on another,

For I want my fire to be my own desire.
