A Sonnet

An AI Generated Image

Imagining things I may be, but you

Appear to be ignoring other eyes

And gazing just at me, as if on cue;

Your ancient gaze shreds my modern disguise

What serendipitous weave of events

Brought me before you now, to feel your look?

My hapless bark was borne here by currents

Invisible, like plot twists in some book

Object you make me, as you spend all days;

No mere thing now, you see into my heart

The law of your attention, mine obeys

What does it see, the painted eye of art?

My eyes can move, but you have transfixed me

Perhaps, motionless, you are truly free

Sonnet
