Fingerprint of Purpose

A journal of awakening through meditation, memory, and inner light.

By Asanda M..Published about a year ago • 1 min read

I closed my eyes… and found myself in the dark.

But not the kind of darkness that swallows — no.

This one whispered.

This one waited.

As I breathed — long, slow, deep —

My eyes were closed… but my soul was watching.

And suddenly, from that quiet place…

A fingerprint appeared.

Not just any fingerprint —

Mine.

Curled and spiraled like a story I had forgotten…

Yet somehow always belonged to me.

I thought I saw it with my right eye.

I was certain it was open.

I even poked it, and it was closed.

Still, the vision didn’t leave.

The fingerprint — my identity — began to change.

It pulsed…

It reshaped…

Until it resembled light.

Not just light — a filament,

Like the center of a bulb

Before it begins to shine.

It moved again —

Like the red needle on a fuel gauge.

I watched it rise — full, alive.

A symbol of ignition.

And in that moment,

I understood something without words:

Even in the dark… I still carry the blueprint of my light.

I don’t need to see the sun to remember who I am.

The glow is already inside me.

Makukhanye.

Let there be light.

And let it begin… within.
