Finding Light in Shadows

In the shadows of my youth, I stood,

No role models, just misunderstood.

No idols to guide, no paths to trace,

Just lessons learned in life's embrace.

I didn't grow up idolizing fame,

But shunning shadows, avoiding blame.

I saw the struggles, the pain, the strife,

And vowed to carve my own path in life.

In faces weary, in voices tired,

I found the fuel for my desires.

For in their mistakes, I found my guide,

A beacon of hope, in the darkest tide.

I didn't want to be like them, you see,

But to carve a future bold and free.

To rise above the trials I'd seen,

And build a life beyond the dream.

So here's to the journey, unconventional,

Forging ahead, with a heart full.

For in the absence of role models, I found,

The strength within, to stand my ground.
