Final Farewell

a poem about a last farewell

In the realm of bittersweet goodbye,

Where tears meet the edge of a sigh,

A tale unfolds with somber grace,

Of love's embrace in final trace.

Whispers of sorrow paint the air,

As hearts entwined now stripped and bare,

Fragile souls, once intertwined,

Now facing fate, cruel and unkind.

Eyes that once sparkled, gleamed with light,

Now clouded with shadows, lost in night,

Aching souls yearning to stay,

Yet destiny's call must lead the way.

The hands that held, now gently part,

As echoes of love cling to the heart,

Time's relentless grasp pulls them away,

In the face of destiny's decree, they sway.

Words left unspoken, lingering on lips,

Emotions that surge like ocean's ships,

Silent tears trace a path down the cheek,

For a love that's bound but cannot speak.

The final embrace, a tender surrender,

Two souls bound by a love so tender,

In that moment, worlds collide,

As eternity's gate swings open wide.

But even in sorrow, a glimmer remains,

A memory etched where love sustains,

For the last farewell is not the end,

Love's flame still flickers, hearts to mend.

Through tears and pain, love will endure,

A bond unbroken, forever pure,

In the tapestry of time, their story will dwell,

A sad last farewell, but love's eternal spell.
