Fill in the [redacted]

a poem falling apart

My [redacted] for you was visceral,

viral, and vicious,

tangible enough to pick up and throw it

If you had your way,

you likely would —

right in the garbage with my [redacted]

For someone who [redacted] me —

and you said you did —

you sure don’t actually [redacted] it

Wipe clean the slate,

erase the [redacted],

play pretend that you were never my [redacted]

I don’t [redacted] you

but I don’t [redacted] you either

It’s complicated, and you [redacted] it

But [redacted] will be [redacted]

and I never [redacted]

So I guess I’ll let [redacted] be [redacted]
