The beauty that lies within

It's so subtle and sometimes hard to begin

But there are so many instances

In which I cannot deny

That has brought me understanding

And given me the ultimate high

Which color would represent me?

Sometimes it's hard to say for sure

But who I am is who I've always been

Which color represents me?

It's hard to pick just one

So, I'll start easy with the story of when

From the very first intake of breath

Flooding deeply into my lungs

The love the filled the room was immense

From that very first intake of breath

Entering wildly into my lungs

All the love, it just made sense

Mother Earth has welcomed me so

Into her gentle and warm caress

The life that she breathes into me

I'm so grateful, I must confess

Love doesn't come in pinks and reds

But a lovely shade of green, instead

About the Creator

S. G. Marin

I'm optimistic, married, a mom, a writer, a reader, an artist. Being only thirty years young, I want to be a published author when I grow up. I hope to help heal the world with my words, for they are quite powerful when used correctly.
