Feathered Paperwork

Once upon a trip.

I lost my mind in a piece of paper,

I lost my soul in a breathe mint.

I seen the future blurred in an eye drop,

that seemed to last an eternity.

All the while still confused about the world

and most of all who I are?

Where did my people go.

Isolated by media and social screens.

A dream what was it like,

to walk miles across borders.

Dreams of freedom,

to live among demons.

Drifting by light thought to be sanctuary.

My thoughts shatter beyond shuttered eyelids

gazing into the infinite darkness,

yet we find comfort in our own blindness.

Walking up toward the heavens on dissolving stairways...

still waiting for aliens to save me...
