In the dark, a whisper muscles through

Beta, our journey comes to an end, but you must continue

This dreaded new beginning has begun

I’ve no choice but to soldier on

I will look for you in the thousand folds

Of sunset hued marigolds

The deep-set smile of the full moon

Heaven’s reflection on a blue lagoon

If ever death hovers nearby

I will look it in the eye

I do not fear you, I’ll say

I stopped the night you took him away

heartbreaksad poetry
