We spend endless energy trying to stay on everyone's good side, softening our opinions and walking on eggshells just to keep the water calm.

We treat disapproval like an emergency that needs to be fixed immediately.

The reality is that people will dislike you for reasons that have nothing to do with you. Your boundaries make them uncomfortable, or your choices remind them of what they aren't doing.

Trying to be universally liked requires you to erase your own personality.

Being disliked by the wrong people is actually proof that you stand for something real.
