[Two in One]

Earth is a strange thing.

Here is a place of beauty

And a killing floor.

[The Arrangement]

Every unfurling

Bloom is a clue, a soft note

In the symphony.

[I'm Projecting]

Occasionally,

I wonder why I chose here

to construct a soul.

[Confession]

I am scared nature

Is always lying to me,

Charming my senses.

[A Meadow]

Under so much green,

One forgets the whole slaughter

Wildness is in hue.

[A Mountain]

Upon nature's guise

We roam like fools, upwards, but

The air is thin here.

[An Ocean]

I don't mind the wreck,

Amongst the salt and shadow,

The world glimmers, filled.

I love this... such a gorgeously tragic string of haiku. Earth really is a strange place, and I hate how our enthrallment with its beauty lets us ignore the terrible things we are subjecting it to. Thank you for writing and sharing these beautiful words!!!
