broken in by a broken system

suckled on a noxious tit

reared by a chemical fixation cult

taught how to be a piece of shit

thrown into a ring of fire unprepared

where everybody comes out burnt

lessons there were taught in blood

and will never ever be lost or unlearnt

all these memories

memories of hate and of cruelty

all those abhorrent reminders;

like a murder of crows

they perch

on power lines

to the vanishing point

on either side of my peripheral vision.

crows on power lines

stretched from far horizon

to the edge of my sight,

all these memories

a simple mind click away.

they can't hurt me (now)

but i can remember the pain

i can remember the silence

i can remember the violence

i can remember the silence

stretched and flayed into days

i know the smell of fear

i know the smell of myself

not a whole lot of difference

between the two

but i made it

not complete

not whole

i fuckin made it

and now i'm completely

and utterly

lost

in this one

of all possible worlds

cause i thought

i'd be dead

by now !
