Fathomless Turquoise Tranquility
Can you taste it? Or in this case, drift along?
Coral reefs colour clear aqua
Where clownfish race between urchins and flora
Gems of the underworld glitter in the leaked-through sunlight
~
One can barely comprehend the vastness of life
The cracks, crevices, and curves of
The turns, angles, and depths
~
Where scales shimmer
Salty sprays and waves waver
Flicker freckles across the countless sand
~
There is an everlasting sensation to the ocean
Bottomless as long as you can’t touch the bottom
Engulfing even the largest of possibilities
~
Fins flying without ever touching sky
Lingering clouds swim overhead lazily
The contradiction of water and air
~
Yet below the flurry of sea life
Burrow creatures of unknown uncertainties
Whole worlds yet to be discovered
~
The ridge of reef and rock
Crooked lines of tenacity
The underworld alive with so much more vigour sometimes
~
