Fateful Vows

Reaper's Bride

By F.A.EPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

We all live to die

As life took its vows to death at birth

Promising to never leave each other’s side

To go hand-in-hand forever

As life cannot cheat death

But can death cheat life?

He sits, waiting for life to come

To let her know he lasts for all eternity, and there’s nothing she can do

As one life dies, death finds another bride

And life knows she’s only temporary, that she can’t escape

Existing day to day, rather than living

So on that fateful day, when death feels like it’s time to do part

Life will feel the same
