Can't Catch Myself

I’m drifting through life slowly and calmly.

I sometimes forget that I’m on a high-speed goose chase.

It’s coming to haunt me, it’s getting closer to me.

No matter what I have to run away!

I need a quick getaway.

I need to think fast, I need to make an escape.

Though it seems impossible, I have to outrun it.

But I realized that I can’t keep running from it.

It always finds a way to get closer to me.

It finds a way to ruin me.

It’s like playing hide and seek, but it always wins.

It’s like a race that never ends.

I keep running this race, thinking one day I’ll win.

But in the end I’m destroying myself.

Everything is Ending

Everything is slipping away,

The days are coming and going,

Time is slowly winding down,

And everyone is leaving.

No one is going to stay here,

I’m going to be all alone,

The people that I love are going away,

They’re running away from me.

Every person that I care about is leaving,

I pushed them away and now they’re saying goodbye,

They’re all gone now,

And I’m left in this empty space.

Time is slowly stopping,

No one is around for me,

I’m all alone,

And there’s no one left to care.
