Fall Happens in— extended

written in Richmond, extended with experience

The sunlight in the fall is golden.

There’s a beautiful somber that cascades when it gets noticeably cold, and you realize

fall precedes death;

so you cling to sunlight that much more

because the shadows pinch, and they bite

leaving you tense

and rushed yet

surrounded by the energy color brings as the light slowly shifts

from gold to ice.

It’ll stay while the rest goes;

the sense that there is something precious

in your attunement to the moment persimmon precedes persephone’s promise,

pensivepassing off

The Lens, it

clicks, and

your shudder traces you down the middle.

the chill beckons solace in the warmth you emit.

moisture frees itself from the folds in your hands.

levied in your throat,

the say you have in any of it
