Say one thing, yet mean another;
is this a game?
Words like honey, sticky and sweet,
but the outcome remains the same.

Cracks reveal where the truth should be,
as the lies slowly become clear to me.

See your reflection in shattered glass;
faking emotions, it’ll never last.
Building friendships just to watch them fall;
did it mean anything to you at all?

Silence speaks louder than all the lies.
Have a broken heart, yet it never cries.
Thought I knew you, but I was wrong;
you're a ghost I’ve been leaning on.

I’ll let you fade, slip away;
you won’t steal my light today.

Fake, fake; everything’s a lie,
playing a part as you don’t try.
Fake, fake; nothing real to see,
wearing a mask but you’re not fooling me.
