I can’t believe I let him gaslight me

In ways I could never imagine.

I hope he truly didn’t believe

The words that left his

Lips tainted with lies

And rumors,

Deluding my mind.

You let me get comfortable,

Then shamed me for

Being myself and almost succeeded.

But you didn’t.

Thanks to Her,

My eyes have opened.

I see the world

Clear of my tears.

Tears won’t make us

Friends again.

Tears can’t fix our problems.

Tears don't fix him.

Out of my head,

I see the false truth

He tried to make me believe.

Good try.

Into the person he

wanted me to be.

He failed.
