Fading Echoes

Where the Silence Lives

By Solene HartPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

I was almost gone

when you whispered my name,

a soft breath in the dark

that barely stirred the air.

A place untouched by time,

where shadows hold their breath,

waiting for something to move.

You reach for me,

though I'm barely here,

like a memory you can't quite recall—

half forgotten, half remembered.

I feel the warmth of your touch,

a promise made in a moment,

fading with the dusk.

Still, I stay,

clinging to the edge of what we were,

as the stars above

slowly fade into the night.

And in that quiet space,

I find a thread that binds us.
