Walking through life with my eyes wide open
Never truly knowing what’s going on
Keeping hidden the words not spoken
Afraid to let the real truth be known
Running through life with my eyes wide open
Trying to keep my feet here on the ground
Learning to live with all the copping
Giving myself permission to be found
Sliding through life with my eyes wide open
Doing everything to keep myself sane
Finding all my hard work has been stolen
Nothing will ever really be the same
Falling through life with my eyes wide open
Reaching out for something to hold
Losing my grip on my wishing and hoping
Ignoring the negative that someone once told
Standing through life with my eyes wide open
Feeling like things will never change
Spending my nights crying and mopping
Learning a new way to play the game
