Eyes Closed.

We Forget Ourselves.

By Jessie FoleyPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

If you wish to vanish...

Be a strange fruit.

Be unsuspecting,

Always tell your truth.

Exist in the balance...

Living, how you can.

Happen to be,

In a desirable land.

It's hard to see it coming,

Even in its starkness,

Primordial hunger, fuels

Ineffable darkness,

Creeping from the caverns,

Someone stoked the flames,

Fear we can't, seem to erase.

Brought out hate, so displaced.

The elephant,

Is in the room,

Grand division,

Spun on the loom,

One's on his back,

One's in a tomb,

An hourglass whirls,

Time consumes,

Lost the plot,

The land's exhumed.
