Subtle as it may seem, invisible to the roving eye
some moments are written in gold tipped diamond pens
dipped in a sacred script defying explanation.

Numbers fall into place, jackpots accumulating
notes compared speak strange coincidences
even as we decipher the languid meanings.

So it is when we first saw
abstract flashings in a comet sky
full of airport markings for a secret meeting
signaling spiritual rendezvous
Delphic oracles and prophecies
exploding chemical reactions
that blasted all reason to hyperspace.

Brazen we were, defying convention
pulsing in perfection, exploding chemical stars
racing to the big bang.

How did we know that mere test-tubes cannot hold
two opposite individuals under a velvet formula
of happiness?

And then the neutrons stars encircling our decrepit suns
wasting light and energy balls
of boredom held together by tradition.

We will set the pace, re-write the double
decomposition and light magnesium spirals
down the aisle? Come with me, my beloved student.
There are lessons yet to learn.
