Exploring Frustration

A Little Jaunt

By Kiki Le TigrePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

A polite ocean lapping acreage away,

Just to be ignored, day after day.

Asking and asking, but no one to help.

Finally she retracts, pulls into herself.

Further away she drifts, gathering in size.

While everyone mutes warnings of sea level rise.

No problem for me means no problem for you,

What works for me must work for you, too.

But finally she bursts forth,

Foam, froth and fright!

Every dismissal built up an enormous height.

Tried every avenue, filled every channel.

Now she tsunamis her point to these mammals.

Can't forgive or forget when shes swelled to this size

All logic blurred with salt water in eyes.

She tried to talk and no body would listen,

One persons frustration,

Becomes everyone's prison.
