Perfect Little Pirate
The rough, sodden rope bit into her fingers as she swung over the roiling water far below. Reaching out with the toe of her boot, she managed to catch hold of the rain-soaked railing of the ship- and promptly slipped. Throwing herself forward, she landed hard on the deck, slamming her elbows against the wood planks. The sharp yelp of pain quickly bubbled into a laugh, and she rolled onto her back, laughing up at the gray sky as a torrent of rain washed away the soot covering her skin.

My insights are glitching so sorry but I would have checked a lot. A great take on the challenge. How whimsical and a pure delight. Except i don’t like pineapple on pizzas! Compared to the expected personification toward darker interpretations of being overshadowed or diminished in some way. I have 2 entries. One where I stuck to the general format of an Acrostic poem. I have to agree that everything was all right after the eclipse but I still don't like pineapple on pizza. I love your choice of that yak photo is seemed to me that your creative verse was recited by the yak and made me chuckle,
