Everyone Agrees…
What don’t you know about “everyone knows”

You can say everyone agrees,
But there’s always someone who doesn’t.
You could say no one would,
But there’s always someone who done it.
You can talk common sense, but there’s always someone who’s dense — someone else who’s a mess, someone else who regrets.
One wants to impress, one wants to express — one who harvests and one who counts the expense. One who arrests and who who sets tests — one with a grievance and one with an egress — and no one, not no one, not no one wants to be the first to invest.
Always something else to do, or more thoughts to spew. If you can look through the ever-growing igloo, you’ll find there’s not really nothing — not really nothing, not really nothing, not really nothing that’s new.
Life isn’t a rigid grid, or a raffle bid — not about the one who did and the one who hid. It’s about that one, the one and only and the one of many, who found the best way to get in!
So…. You can say everyone agrees,
But there’s always someone who doesn’t.
You could say no one would,
But there’s always someone who done it.
And this time — maybe this time, maybe this time — we can rise high above it.
About the Creator
Gabriel B. Shames
I’m an east coast American, interested in writing poetry and fiction as long as I can remember. I took a test in 4th grade where they told me I wrote creatively at a college level!
Hope you enjoy reading as much I as I do creating ❣️
