Every now and again I try to imagine alternative universes
Close my eyes and try to see my life through a series of different choices
Letting myself spin out on theorized missed potential
If I had loved harder, left sooner, listened less, conquered more, then
Perhaps I would be....happier? prepared? less scared? more secure and more settled? Or
Sitting here, eyes closed, imagining alternative universes
Every now and again
