Designed for

a single season

many seasons ago

a thoughtful gift

heartfelt

exciting

blooming

then a souvenir

you've weathered

the storms that

brought my world

to its knees

I ignored you

hoping you would

wither and turn to dust

but there you were

refusing to give up

defying logic

the laws of nature

blooming in spite of

more than just a

single season flower

a testament to daring

to embrace a life

never lived.

who knows where

you and i will end up...

A Godwink

you must be

little Kalanchoe.
