Day by day
In the evening after work
Saturdays included,
Thursday even earlier.
Rusty, he drives to the tarven.
At the same corner he parks his car
Coz he knows he will be there for a while.
Three drinks to start with he orders
In time he doesn't even remember how many he's had
Oh in regret, how he wishes for the time to pass so that he can go home straight to bed coz,
Nobody in the house wants to spend time with him, ever since they gained their strength.

Very sad poem for some it’s their reality
Heartbreaking
Oh this was so sad! I didn't expect that ending. Very well done!
So wonderfully penned, but that last line and the title are a kicker! Great work, Gal!
