Ever May I
Ever may I rest my back...
Ever may I rest my back
On the vast glade of soft green
Where gamboling the children's spirits
Under the warm sunlight patched with joy.
Ever may I rest my head
In the shade of a big old tree
Where resounding vivid chirping melodies
That echo to the distant forests.
***
So let my soul from one end of the world
Be singing with gratitude and delight.
Let my voice be heard from deep caverns
To the endless seas, to the remote deserts;
That it is Him who clothes the meadow
With a beautiful coat of bloom.
Him the Artist who adorns the ether
With the sun, the moon, and stars.
***
For a still long battle, we cry;
In His place of Glory, He smiles;
With blessing hands, He breathes new life
Into these suffering souls filled with fright.
***
Because life is not easy,
We fight hard and struggle, wondering
whether the true justice in this world
Is anywhere to be found
And when we can rest our back
In His peaceful bound.
***
So with a determined mind and pride,
We wear the biggest smile and fight.
With new strength and bodies, we strive;
We struggle, but for sure we don't cry.
'Till the daybreak when we raise a toast of victory
When the persisting misery is just a history
And the moments we have with each other are of old good memories.
***
So, ever may we keep fighting?
