Event Horizon

Poem

When mass/energy comes to the spacetime fabric

The fabric bends and warps like velvet

All the paths are curved in that spacetime

Like the painted lines on a curved carpet.

The light simply follows those curved paths

The images of the distant stars show that,

That proved the General theory of Relativity.

Einstein said, Ye e e e e e, I told you that !

Schwarzschild took the task of solving the equation

And got a very strange solution.

The solution says that under gravitational collapse

A whole star can vanish from the Universe

Leaving behind a weird boundary called the event horizon.

That event horizon is the horizon around a black hole

Beyond it, there is no way to return.

If anything crosses event horizon

Immediately it will fall to the center

And vanishes into the singularity.

Nothing can escape that, not even light.

That extreme thing, a black-hole

Even that is hot, it radiates energy!

Hawing showed that with math

The radiation is known as the Hawking radiation.
