When the lights flickered back to life, the station was eerily quiet. She opened her eyes to find herself floating in the main lab, surrounded by familiar equipment. Her heart pounded as she recalled the last moments—had it worked?

“David?” she called out, her voice echoing through the silence. Panic rose in her chest as she glanced around. In a dim corner, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows. It was David, but he looked confused, as if waking from a deep sleep.

“Elena? What happened?” “I… I think we broke the loop.” She dared to hope.
