Sense without senses

"I haven't any sight, yet I still see your beauty."

A clam without a pearl, I am,

Is it just to call us 'to be?'

"I haven't any legs, Madam,"

Though I'd run for her-a call of duty.

"I walk on pegs, through tears I've tread, and you can call me Adam."

"I have no hands, yet I twist and turn and pan,"

Though who am I to believe?

"Hello Adam, I hear with aids, and you may call me Eve"

She is but Saturn without rings, whilst I'm a harp with no strings.

"I cannot walk or see or hear-"

But I seem to fly with love's wings.

She grants me eyes and legs and ears,

"Is it just to call us 'to be?'"

She is but saturn with all her rings, whilst I'm a harp with all my strings.

For who was Adam without Eve?
