Covid normalized poverty, yet the opposite happened to the supply.

Many small shops closed or the remaining ones let off workers.

Grocers had monopolies and started to raise prices.

While inflation happened, so did greed.

A family with modest income now had to sacrifice meals.

There are stories of massive food bank usage,

Even of people who have to much pride to use them.

Profits came before people, hunger and poverty skyrocketed.

No government put measures in place to prevent it.

The general use of AI reduced jobs thus making people

Not be able to make ends meat.

Corporations destroyed smaller businesses,

I bleed for the newer generations,

Who may see that the dream is gone.
