Ethereality
a poetic portrayal of immortality
Too long is the distance that exists between you and I,
Though the presence you emit falls angelically from the sky.
My celestial spirit; my star of the sea,
Your soul is not lost but is waiting for me.
With our birth place bejewelled by your enchantress,
The horizon embellished by the painting of your canvas,
A rose to the thorns of pain and envy.
The tranquillity of your light- an enthralling reverie.
So as the darkness descends it is you who scintillates,
Your spirit envelops me in ways I cannot articulate,
When hope is lost you keep me stargazing,
A tale of two souls that’s beautifully heartbreaking.
