Etched Upon the Place You Call Home
A Poem About Tattoos

Mysterious and Commanding
Demanding my Attention
With Every Color,
You are Engulfed By
With Every Crisp Line,
You are Traced By
Your Mysteriousness Deludes My Thoughts
Every Mark Creates Another Memory
Another Reminder
Which Will Be Forever
Etched Upon the Place You Call Home
The Innocence that Once Existed
In the Bare Nakedness
Now has Dissipated into Thin Air
Forever Forsaken and Lost
Only You Command Attention
With Every Passerby
You are Eager to Engage One's Mind
Vivid and Discrete Imagery
You Left Your Mark
Stole My Innocence
Now and Forever
On This Canvas Which is
The Place You Call Home
