Escapin' In A Dream
Sometimes it's nice to let them put themselves together without figuring out what they mean.
Author's Notes: This poem was originally commented on Babs Iverson poem "DREAMSCAPE."
Agent Babs
Chilling
While on the grill slabs
Or Barbeque ribs
Slathered in sauce
Grab the bibs
While the peach tree
Grows fruit nearby
Grab a few, for the raw peach pie
Careful not to bite on the pit
Like the pork bones
Out with the pit, You should spit
Meanwhile on the spit
A rotisserie chicken's roasting
And baking
The skin is just flaking
Packed and seasoned full of flavor
Time to savor a meal
Fit for a queen
Lying on the beach
A bed mattress that's the size for a king
Under the stars
Dothraki Fashion, have a wild fling
Let Your voice sing
As You live in the moment
Great Food, Great Friends, a Great Time
You Live it You own it
Get a plateful of seconds
Grab a third plate, another
Bring it back to serve and be served
Going from Maiden to Lover
Pass the nights and the sportscar
Rollin' in the Ashton Martin
The engine turns over
The wheels rollin' over
Cruising fast, time goes by a bit slower
Get a bigger engine, why not a W16?
Roll around in it, cruisin' like a dream
The motor revs
The engine begs
To be let loose
Dining and Wining on superb supper
While on the bullet train
1st Class section in the back of the Caboose
Broiled goose
With some gooseneck class
And oysters
Listening to the intercom opera
As the singer's voice is boistered
Then top the night off with a bottle of booze
And when the alarm goes off,
Slap that thang, and get to dream chasing
Hitting the snooze

That was great performance poetry! I loved the rhythm and spot on imagery. Great work :)
