Escaped the darkness

A rape escaped

In shadows dark, where nightmares breed,

A tale untold, a heart to bleed,

I stand before you, strong, unbowed,

For in my voice, the truth avowed.

A predator's gaze, a chilling stare,

He sought to claim, to strip me bare,

But fate, kind friend, held out her hand,

And guided me from that wretched land.

Silent screams choked within my throat,

As fear's cruel fingers wrapped and smote,

Yet strength ignited, a blazing fire,

To flee the grasp of his vile desire.

Through tangled webs of doubt and shame,

I rose above, unburdened blame,

The scars unseen, but etched within,

A testament to the fight I've been.

For those who suffer, still confined,

My voice I raise, with purpose, kind,

To break the chains that bind their souls,

To let them know they're not alone.

In unity, we stand and heal,

Our spirits forged from wounds that feel,

And as I escape that harrowing rape,

I'll strive to light a path, reshape.

For darkness looms, but love prevails,

In whispered stories, hope exhales,

Together we shall rise and mend,

A world where safety knows no end.
