Eremitism

The act of gradually fading from the lives of others, not out of malice but a desire for solitude or renewal

it’s not you

it’s not me

it’s not true

you’ll see

i’m not blue

i’m free…

it’s not you

it’s me

and me

i have this yearning

a simple longing

for quieter times

(easy rhymes)

warmer climes

this detritus i cling to

consciously collected

self-infected

by things

i no longer need

baggage

luggage

suitcases

woolies bags

leaving it all

on the carousel

leaving that trail

of cold fire behind me

leaving it now

so nothing can blind me

leaving it now

and all the traces inside me

got no trouble breathing

all done with the seething

got no problem believing

i’m all out of grieving

i’m getting out and about

i’m just gonna roam

find me some peace

and a better place

to call home
