Ephialtes
When the weight on your shoulders wasn't yours to write

He stepped away from his pain A space with no walls — it grew. Sealed and silent, No longer to visit, Return to sender, Written over it, This wasn’t his to carry; Dreamcatcher cannot frame it. The Dreamweaver spouts, Spinning lies with guile. Chartreuse eyes dare, Honey drips from a smile. Denounce pride if it calls; There’s no truth, my child. "Look aside," whispered the self in solitude. Sated ears repel Egotistic platitudes. Dawn enters unknowing, Light shifts the darkened mood. Specters gather Driving him from his core, Self-hate, then pity — Binds torn, ties broken, free to soar. Ephialtes fades With the dreamcatcher at the door.
About the Creator
Ms Jade
Ms Jade writes by listening inward — where stories wait beneath the surface.
Some things you’re told to follow. Some things you have to feel out for yourself. I write in between— learning as I go.
