The beauty of a sunset
And the morning drops of dew
The petals of a flower
And the leaves autumnal hue
Your laughter when I tell a joke
And all the things I love
The clouds on all their voyages
The stars way up above
A cat that's purring on your lap
A really great dessert
A phone call with your favorite friend
The perfectly fitted shirt
All the things I love the most
Are fleeting and short-lived
I think that maybe that's the point,
to float on with the wind.
Though life has its ebbs and flows
Though great things go away
If I know I'll see you again
Then, through the wind I'll sway.
