What is this supposed

'pristine cognition?'

A poised and lean, emission-

free mentality?

Projections mar reality,

you say?

What originates from the Self,

in totality,

is but one uniform blemish

upon the face of the virgin

Existence?

I'm getting a bit of resistance...

less like rubber on the road,

more like sandpaper to the spirit.

Its vital fluids flowed

out from the point of friction,

painting impulse upon the world,

and you call this an affliction?

'To err is human, perfection is divine.'

Well, I'll keep the rusted bells

and out-of-tune whistles that come with me and mine.

We aren't flawless, we're a riot.

Less than lawless, exceeding quiet.

Bleeding piety, blind pilots

flying Frankensteinian planes.

In the plain light of day,

and under pain of death,

I swear to you that my 'sickness,'

is much more fun than all the rest,

this 'absence of dichotomy,'

you've been going on about.

It sounds a lot like a soul lobotomy

and I've got some reasonable doubts.

But you can keep what's good to you

if I can take what's good to me.

What's 'unenlightened,' in your view

is the biome within which I've evolved to see.
