Endless road

Smooth and vast, not a pothole in sight

It's a path less traveled. Twisting and turning endlessly

It takes me down new dreams

The car hums underneath me

Soft music whispers

The road is silent

Slick with rain

Droplets dance along the surface

I anticipate the road ending

Yet, it never does

The asphalt never cracks

Eroding until there's nothing

All that remains is the even surface

It is a neverending journey.

What promises does it bring?

What lies?

I may never know

For now, the journey is the destination

Endless and vast

Without a fracture in sight
